OneRail launches COVID-19 rail industry response resource page

As the U.S. continues to experience the drastic impacts of the unprecedented COVID-19 health emergency, the OneRail Coalition has launched a resource page on its website about the rail industry’s response to the pandemic, sharing information from its members about how they are managing during this global crisis.

Freight railroads, short line railroads, Amtrak, commuter rail/transit, and rail suppliers across the U.S. are committed to protecting their employees and passengers whilst ensuring the continued operation of their critical role, safely moving freight and passengers around the country.

By highlighting the issue with a new landing page offering information and resources on how OneRail member organisations are handling the COVID-19 global health emergency, OneRail hopes to offer some support during such an uncertain time.

In addition, the page has links to guidance on identifying essential, critical infrastructure workers from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) in order to improve the coordination between the government and the private sector and ensure that key employees can get to work.

The resource page also has a link to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s COVID-19 website with the latest available information for citizens and businesses. OneRail aims to update the information as needed throughout the coming weeks.
