SBB Cargo announces Désirée Baer as new CEO

Désirée Baer will take over the management of SBB Cargo AG on 1 March 2020, succeeding Nicolas Perrin who moves to SBB Cargo’s Board of Directors.

Since 2017, Désirée has been CEO of Securitrans Public Transport Security AG, a leading provider of security and construction logistics in public transport.
Prior to her joining Securitrans, she was part of SBB Infrastructure’s management, leading several units including logistics, production, purchasing, fleet management, sales and IT.
Every year, SBB Cargo transports approximately 29.8 million net tonnes of goods, and employs approximately 2,300 people. Désirée Baer will succeed Nicolas Perrin who will move to the Board of Directors of SBB Cargo AG in the second quarter of 2020.
