c2c achieved over 96% in the Public Performance Measure (PPM) figures, making it the best performing operating company in the UK.
c2c achieved over 96% in the Public Performance Measure (PPM) figures, making it the best performing out of the 23 operating companies in the UK.
The PPM, the latest set of which have just been published by Network Rail, is the measure of punctuality that shows the percentage of trains which arrive at their destination station within 4 minutes 59 seconds of advertised time.
It combines figures for punctuality and reliability into a single performance measure, and is the industry standard measurement of performance. The national PPM is 91.2%.
c2c last held this position in March 2016.

“We’re very pleased that we have regained our position as the most punctual rail operator in the UK,” said c2c Managing Director Julian Drury. “Since March 2016 we’ve worked really hard to get back in the top spot, and we’d like to thank all our staff who have helped us achieve this great result. We now aim to maintain and build on these figures month on month, to bring c2c customers the very best rail services.”
c2c runs services between London Fenchurch Street and Shoeburyness and is owned by Trenitalia UK (the passenger rail transportation company part of FS Italiane Group). Over 43 million journeys are made on its services every year.
