In just three months the 27th iaf in the German city of Münster will open its doors.

200 exhibitors from 18 nations

In just three months the 27th iaf in the German city of Münster will open its doors. 200 exhibitors from 18 nations have registered so far – among them all renowned enterprises with development, production, supply and subcontracting activities in the field of track construction and maintenance.

At the end of May the latest devices, materials and technologies will be exhibited in the three big exhibition halls of Halle Münsterland with 15,000 m2 of covered surface. A further highlight with a particular appeal will be the outdoor area where the huge track building machines and track maintenance technologies will be presented on 6,000 m2 of open area and more than 3,000 m of real ballasted track.

You may also look forward to the novelties of the major international enterprises of the sector such as Plasser & Theurer, Robel, Matisa, Cemafer, Vossloh, Kraiburg Strail, Speno, SRS Rail System, Scheuchzer, Kinshofer, Goldschmidt Thermit, Harsco Rail, Autech and Liebherr. The products and exhibits of the iaf newcomers such as BGM, PrefaRails, AFERPI and Zeppelin Baumaschinen will also be eagerly awaited.

For many years already the Messe und Congress Centrum Halle Münsterland and the close proximity to the Münster Ost railway station of Westfälische Landesbahnen (WLE) ensure the best conditions for a trade fair of this magnitude. For the fifth time already, Münster will then be the meeting point for all track, railway and transport experts – in short: one of the most important networking events of the sector.

Ceremonial opening

Representatives of business, industry, science and politics are expected to attend the press conference and the subsequent ceremonial opening of the exhibition of 30th May 2017. The State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure Michael Odenwald, the Chairman and CEO of DB Netz AG Frank Sennhenn, the Mayor of the city of Münster Markus Lewe and the President of VDEI Dr.- Ing. Thomas Mainka will welcome the guests.

This prelude will be rounded off by awarding the VDEI Incentive Award and by a first guided tour through the exhibition.

iaf Salon

Furthermore there will be manifold opportunities for an intensive exchange of expertise and opinions. The iaf Salon that has been introduced in 2013 offers an ideal platform for that purpose. This meeting point will invite expert participants to enter into direct discussions with iaf exhibitors. Selected enterprises will present here their companies, latest technologies and products. The VDEI-Academy for Rail Systems will again participate as well and offer seminars on superstructure and civil engineering.

iaf Job Market

The iaf Job Market is dedicated to the motivation of young talents. It aims at inspiring the upcoming generation for railway technology in order to achieve the important goal of strengthening the workforce of young people in the sector. The iaf will bring students, young railway engineers and apprentices in touch with potential future employers – a win-win situation for both sides. School classes are also highly welcome. Guided tours for young generations are foreseen on 1st June 2017. Interested parties are invited to register in due time under [email protected]

Free admission for visitors!

While only a few remaining stand spaces can still be booked, free online registration for interested visitors and guests is still possible until mid-May. Registration under www.iaf-messe.com.

On-site registration with the visitor service at the exhibition is of course also possible for a small service fee of 15 Euro. We are looking forward to welcome you!
