Bombardier to provide fleet maintenance for California’s Metrolink

Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA) has awarded an eight-year maintenance service contract for the Metrolink commuter rail fleet to Bombardier Transportation.

Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA) has awarded Bombardier Transportation an eight-year Metrolink commuter rail fleet maintenance service contract.
Bombardier has been providing maintenance services for Metrolink under previous contracts since 1998. The new contract, worth approximately $23 million US ($30 million CAD, 21 million euro) per year, will come into effect on the 01 January 2017 subject to adjustments based on any changes to the current service plan. The contract also includes a single four-year option.

Currently, Bombardier ensures availability and reliability of Metrolink’s fleet of locomotives and passenger cars, including BOMBARDIER BiLevel coaches.
