JSC Russian Railways and the Swissrail Industry Association have signed an agreement on scientific and technical cooperation at InnoTrans 2016 in Berlin.
On 22 September 2016, Senior Vice President of JSC Russian Railways Valentin Gapanovich and President of Swissrail Peter Jenelten signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during InnoTrans 2016 International Transportation Exhibition in Berlin.
Russian Railways & Swissrail Industry Association scientific and technical cooperation for rail projects in Russia and other markets
The sides expressed readiness to establish scientific and technical cooperation in the framework of implementing rail projects in Russia and other markets.
JSC Russian Railways and Swissrail Industry Association plan to exchange information about current rail technologies and approaches in the field of construction and maintenance of track facilities and subgrade, rolling stock operation, the organization of passenger and cargo traffic, and testing high technologies in the railway market. In addition, interests of the parties included focusing on traffic safety issues, the development of multimodal hubs, and the use of rail standards.
