Christian Kern steps down as CER Chairman to become Austrian Chancellor

Christian Kern, current Chairman of the Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies (CER) and CEO of OeBB (Österreichische Bundesbahnen) is to become Austria’s new Chancellor.
Christian Kern, current Chairman of the Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies (CER) and CEO of OeBB (Österreichische Bundesbahnen) is to become Austria’s new Chancellor.
Following his appointment to become the new Chancellor of the Austrian Republic, Christian Kern stepped down from his role as the CEO of OeBB and Chairman of CER.
Christian Kern appointed Chairman of CER in 2014
Christian Kern took up is role as CEO of OeBB in 2010 and later became Chairman of CER in 2014. Under his leadership the CER worked on a number of legislative and non-legislative dossiers that shaped the EU transport policy and the regulatory framework in which the sector will conduct its business in the years to come.
