GWR rail depot open day celebrates 40 years of the high speed train

On Monday 02 May 2016, Great Western Railway (GWR) will celebrate 40 years of the high speed train with a rail depot open day at St. Philips Marsh.
Marking 40 years of the high speed train, GWR will host a public open day at St. Philips Marsh rail depot in Bristol on Monday 02 May 2016 from 10:30am until 4.30pm. On display will be a unique collection of locomotives, both diesel and steam from all over the country as well as rolling stock from the GWR fleet. Locomotives scheduled to appear include:

- GWR Green Turbo
- GWR Green DMU (prob 150)
- GWR Springboard Livery 158798
- GWR Green Class 57
- VTEC Power car
- East Midlands Trains Power Car

- Class 20 20001 and 20205
- Class 31 31162

- Class 46 46045
- Class 50 50049
- Class 35 Hymek D7017.
Other steam and heritage diesels will be confirmed nearer the time.
All proceeds of the event will be donated to a local charity, Springboard Opportunity Group (1025787), supporting children under 5 with additional needs and disabilities and their families in North Somerset.
