VIDEO: California High-Speed Rail Authority March 2021 construction progress

The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority) has released its March 2021 Construction Update, highlighting the ongoing progress on the nation’s first high-speed rail project.
The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority) is responsible for planning, designing, building and operation of the first high-speed rail system in the nation. The California high-speed rail line will connect the mega-regions of the state, contribute to economic development and a cleaner environment, create jobs and preserve agricultural and protected lands.
To date, the project has created of more than 5,500 construction jobs since the start of construction in the Central Valley, with more than 35 construction sites currently active along the first 119 miles under construction.
Highlights in the Authority‘s March 2021 construction update video (below) include the completion of the San Joaquin River Viaduct which straddles the Fresno and Madera county line and represents the northern gateway into the Central Valley. With the superstructure now complete, crews are putting the final touches on the largest structure in Construction Package 1. The video update also features the latest progress in Construction Package 2-3 and Construction Project 4.
