In an effort to increase transparency in rail safety incident reporting in the EU and to share information among rail operators and manufacturers, the European Union Agency for Railways has launched a Safety Alert IT tool (SAIT) – the first deliverable of the Agency in the framework of the Technical Pillar of the Fourth Railway Package.

It is an important building block for creating a positive safety culture in Europe.”
